We are seeking for a project assistant to the EU twinning project
"Support to the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova" (MD/07/PCA/JH/01) which
lasts until July 2010.
The place of work is Chisinau, at the premises of the Moldovan Parliament
Necessary qualifications of the candidates
University degree in law, political science,
social science or language and literature;
Extensive experience in project implementation and management;
Excellent oral and written communication skills in Moldovan, Russian and English
languages, while French is a serious advantage;
Organizational and analytical skills;
Flexibility and maturity of judgment;
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations;
Proficiency in operating Windows applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
Experience in translation and interpretation (MD-EN, EN-MD);
According to the Manual of EU Twinning projects the chosen assistant cannot be a civil servant or agent of the beneficiary institution (in the past 6 months) nor is on leave from the beneficiary to take up the position of the project assistant.

Responsibilities
Interpreting from English to Moldovan (and/or Russian) and vice versa;
Translating documents like legal acts, training materials, information materials
and other written material from English to Moldovan (and/or Russian)
and vice versa;
Drafting of written materials with relation to the project in Moldovan and
English languages;
Drafting of minutes of meetings;
Elaboration of programmes for short term experts and other foreign specialist
with relation to the project;
Perform necessary office and office management tasks including documentation;
Assist the Resident Twinning Adviser, the Project Leader, the short term experts
and other foreign specialists involved in the project in matters related
to language problems or other problems due to being and working in
a foreign country (like hotel booking, etc.)
Organisation of trainings, expert missions, study visits, meetings etc.
